State of Michigan Job Posting

Job Description:

This position works with state agencies on all records management needs, including analysis and design, and implementation of record systems. The incumbent will prepare records retention and disposal schedules and serve as liaison to agencies to answer inquiries, resolve problems and provide guidance in records management issues.

The preferred candidate will have knowledge of state government and records management, have the ability to effectively deal with people and possess negotiation skills. Certification as a Certified Records Manager is desirable.

Location:

Lansing, Michigan

Minimum Education Required:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work, experience in a professional records management position.

Salary:

$15.44 - $23.55/hourly (annual $32,115 - $48,984)

Other Job Requirements:

Civil Service Rule 2-7 requires that all newly hired state employees submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test prior to their actual appointment.

As a condition of employment in the classified service for the State of Michigan, you must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test. In addition, a criminal background investigation will be conducted.
